لم يكن الشيخ إمام أو إمام محمد أحمد عيسى شخصاً عادياً. لقد ترك هذا الإنسان الضرير خلفه كماً هائلاً من النور ما زالت الأجيال تتداوله وتحافظ عليه وتهتدي به إلى اليوم. عبرت أغاني الشيخ إمام عن عمق الألم المجتمعي المصري وأماني هذا المجتمع في التخلص من أسباب التخلف والجهل والفقر والتفرقة التي كان و مازال يعاني منها تحت وطأة طوفان الإيديولجيات والفساد الذي ضرب مصر وكل المجتمعات الناطقة باللغة العربية المشابهة. ماكان لهذا الإنتاج الفني الابداعي ليصمد أمام الزمن لولا هذا الكم الهائل من الصدق والجمال الأصيل الذي كان يتمتع به.

Cet homme aveugle a laissé derrière lui une énorme quantité de lumière que les générations continuent de faire circuler, de préserver et de guider à ce jour. Les chants de Sheikh Imam exprimaient la profondeur de la douleur sociétale égyptienne et les aspirations de cette société à se débarrasser des causes du sous-développement, de l'ignorance, de la pauvreté et de la ségrégation dont elle souffrait et souffre encore aujourd'hui en raison des idéologies et de la corruption ayant frappé l'Égypte et l'ensemble des sociétés arabophones. Cette production créative n'aurait pas résisté à l'épreuve du temps n'eut été de l'authenticité et de la beauté de son travail.
La Société Gilgamesh a eu le plaisir d'offrir à tous les fans de Sheikh Imam un merveilleux concert sous le titre :
Les chants du Sheikh Imam seront interprétés par Reem Benjnat, canadienne d'origine tunisienne, adepte de l'art original de ce talentueux artiste. Elle a par ailleurs déjà rencontré le camarade de Sheikh Imam, le grand poète Fouad Negm, avec qui elle a chanté les chansons de Sheikh Imam dans le passé.
L'artiste, Reem Benjnat, sera accompagnée d'un groupe de musiciens.

This blind man left behind an enormous amount of light that generations continue to circulate, preserve and guide to this day. Sheikh Imam's songs expressed the depth of Egyptian societal pain and the aspirations of this society to rid itself of the causes of underdevelopment, ignorance, poverty, and segregation that it suffered and still suffers from today due to the ideologies and corruption that have plagued Egypt and all Arabic speaking societies. This creative production would not have stood the test of time had it not been for the authenticity and beauty of his work.
The Gilgamesh Society was pleased to offer all Sheikh Imam fans a wonderful concert under the title :
Sheikh Imam's songs will be performed by Reem Benjnat, a Canadian of Tunisian origin, who is a fan of the original art of this talented artist. She has already met Sheikh Imam's comrade, the great poet Fouad Negm, with whom she has sung Sheikh Imam's songs in the past.
The artist, Reem Benjnat, will be accompanied by a group of musicians.
