يبدو جلياً اليوم أن هناك تحولات جوهرية تلوح في الأفق لصالح نمو الدول الصاعدة اقتصادياً، بخاصة الآسيوية منها، ليصبح هذا القرن آسيوياً بامتياز. ففي حين تتراجع الإمبراطورية الأمريكية متنازلة مرغمة عن عرش المرتبة الأولى والاقتصاد الأقوى في العالم نجد الصين والهند تحتلان المركزين الأول والثاني مع حلول العام 2050.

تضيء المحاضرة على الواقع العربي من خلال الأرقام والمؤشرات الاقتصادية لنرى أين العرب من العالم اليوم ومستقبلاً. البداية ستكون بالقاء نظره على أقوى اقتصاديات القرن الواحد والعشرين ثم سيتنقل بنا المحاضر لاستشراف آفاق المستقبل وصراع القوى الكبرى للوصول لاحقاً إلى السيطرة على الأسواق العالمية وبالأخص تلك المتعلقة بالتكنولوجيا الدقيقة والمعلوماتية.
نبذة عن المحاضر : أحمد المرعب هو كندي من أصل لبناني. تخرج من جامعة مونكتن في كندا كمهندس صناعي. عمل لأكثر من ٣٥ سنة في مصانع السعودية حتى وصل إلى منصب العضو المنتدب لمجموعة صناعية هامة تتألف من ثلاث شركات كبرى تهتم بتسويق آلات إنتاج البلاستيك ودراسة الجدوى الاقتصادية للمشاريع الصناعية الكبرى وتصنيع كافة أنواع الأحبار والتونر.

During this lecture, we will review where the Arabs are today in the world and where they will be in the future. At first, we will take a look at the most powerful economies of the twenty-first century, then we will move to future prospects and the struggle of the major powers and will finish the control of global markets, especially those related to accurate and information technology.
About the lecturer:
Ahmed El Merheb is a Canadian of Lebanese descent. He graduated from the University of Moncton in Canada as an Industrial Engineer. He worked for more than 35 years in Saudi factories until he reached the position of managing director of an important industrial group consisting of three major companies interested in marketing plastic production machines, studying the economic feasibility of major industrial projects, and manufacturing all kinds of inks and toners.

Il semble clair aujourd'hui que des changements fondamentaux se profilent à l'horizon en faveur de la croissance des pays économiquement émergents, en particulier les pays asiatiques, de sorte que ce siècle sera asiatique par excellence. Alors que l'empire américain recule, abandonnant de force le trône du premier rang et de l'économie la plus puissante du monde, nous voyons la Chine et l'Inde occuper les première et deuxième places d'ici l'an 2050.

Cette conférence a mis en lumière la réalité arabe à travers des chiffres et des indicateurs économiques.
Au cours de cette conférence, nous examinerons la situation actuelle des Arabes dans le monde et celle qu'ils auront à l'avenir. Dans un premier temps, nous jetterons un coup d'œil sur les économies les plus puissantes du XXIe siècle, puis nous passerons aux perspectives d'avenir et à la lutte des grandes puissances et nous terminerons par le contrôle des marchés mondiaux, en particulier ceux liés aux technologies de l'information et de la précision.
À propos du conférencier :
Ahmed El Merheb est canadien d'origine libanaise. Il a obtenu un diplôme d'ingénieur industriel à l'Université de Moncton au Canada. Il a travaillé pendant plus de 35 ans dans des usines saoudiennes jusqu'à ce qu'il atteigne le poste de directeur général d'un important groupe industriel composé de trois grandes entreprises intéressées par la commercialisation de machines de production de plastique, l'étude de la faisabilité économique de grands projets industriels et la fabrication de toutes sortes d'encres et de toners.
