L'islamophobie, mythe et réalité
L’islam est très présent dans le discours médiatique au Québec et au Canada, que ce soit à travers les plaintes contre la Loi sur la laïcité de l’État, les demandes d’accommodements religieux pour des lieux de prière dans les écoles, le poste de représentant canadien à la lutte contre l’islamophobie ou le comité sénatorial chargé d’étudier la question de l’islamophobie au Canada.

qui va être donnée par Mme Nadia El-Mabrouk
Qui va tenter dans cette conférence de démêler les concepts entre discours haineux et critique légitime des religions, d’exposer les raisons du malaise entre revendications religieuses et aspiration à la laïcité québécoise, et d’analyser ce qu’implique le plan de lutte contre l’islamophobie du gouvernement fédéral.
Biographie : Nadia El-Mabrouk est professeure au département d’informatique et de recherche opérationnelle (DIRO) de l’Université de Montréal. Son domaine de recherche est en bio-informatique. Elle est connue du grand public pour son engagement, ses articles et ses prises de position en faveur de la laïcité. Elle est autrice du livre Notre laïcité paru en 2019 aux éditions Dialogue Nord-Sud. Elle est membre du comité de rédaction de la revue Argument. Elle est également présidente du Rassemblement pour la laïcité. ====== يعد الاسلام اليوم من المواضيع المثيرة للجدل على صعيد مقاطعة الكبيبك والصعيد الفيدرالي الكندي بشكل عام. منذ إقرار قانون حماية العلمانية في الكيبيك قامت مجموعات دينية متعددة بطلب تخصيص أماكن للعبادة والصلاة في المدارس كوسيلة للضغط في الاتجاه المعاكس لقانون العلمانية وطرح اسئلة تتعلق بموقف اعضاء البرلمان ومجلس الشيوخ من قضية "رهاب الاسلام" او السلاموفوبيا.

سر جمعية جلجامش بالتعاون مع الجمعية العراقية الكندية- مونتريال ان تدعوكم لمحاضرة "رهاب الاسلام بين الواقع والخيال" التي ستلقيها الدكتورة ناديا المبروك حيث ستقوم الدكتورة ناديا بمحاولة الفصل بين مفهوم خطاب الكراهية وبين النقد الموضوعي والقانوني للأديان إضافة إلى محاولة توضيح أسباب عدم ارتياح المجموعات الدينية المختلفة من قانون العلمانية في الكيبيك. كما ستعرض الدكتورة ناديا خطة الدولة الكندية لمحاربة ما يعرف باسم "رهاب الإسلام"
نبذة عن المحاضرة : د. ناديا المبروك أستاذة في قسم علوم الحاسبات والبحوث المعلوماتية في جامعة مونتريال. تتركز أبحاثها على المعلوماتية البيولوجية. د. ناديا معروفة كمدافعة عن قيم العلمانية كما أن لها العديد من المقالات في هذا المجال إضافة إلى كتاب بعنوان "علمانيتنا" الذي صدر في العام 2019 عن دار "حوار الشمال والجنوب" وهي أيضاً عضوة في هيئة تحرير مجلة الحوار ورئيسة لجمعية العلمانية.

Islam is a contemporary discussion topic in the Quebec and Canadian Media and social media. Since the “State Secularism Act” passed as a law, complaints against that Act increased as the demand for religious accommodation such as places of prayer in schools, the position of Canadian representative and the Senate committee investigating the question of Islamophobia and the fight against Islamophobia in Canada.
The Gilgamesh Society in collaboration with the Iraqi Canadian Society- Montreal was pleased to introduce a conference, entitled: “Islamophobia, the myth and the reality” that will be presented by Mrs. Nadia El-Mabrouk.
Dr. El-Mabrouk will attempt to disentangle between the concepts of hate speech and legitimate criticism of religions, and to explain the reasons for the discomfort of religious claims’ groups and aspiration to Quebec secularism. She would also tackle and analyze the plan of the federal government strategy to fight against the Islamophobia.
Biography: Dr. Nadia El-Mabrouk is a professor in the Department of Computer Science and Operational Research (DIRO) at the University of Montreal. Her research interest is focused on bioinformatics. She is well-known publicly for her keen commitment, devotion to defend the Secularism and her ongoing articles and publications to defend Secularism. She is the author of the book “Our Secularism” published in 2019 by Dialogue Nord-Sud. She is a member of the editorial board of the journal “Argument”. She is also president of the Assembly for the Secularism.
