Arabe et anglais plus bas ======= Il fait grand plaisir à la société Gilgamesh de présenter la conférence Égalité, liberté d'expression et de croyance qui sera donnée par Annie-Ève Collin (en français et traduite en arabe) Le droit à la liberté de religion doit cohabiter avec le droit à la liberté d'expression et avec celui à l'égalité (notamment l'égalité entre les hommes et les femmes). La liberté de religion ne peut pas inclure, par conséquent, la possibilité d'empêcher autrui de critiquer, de rejeter ou même de ridiculiser sa religion. Invoquer l'islamophobie pour empêcher la libre expression des idées, revient à détourner ce concept à des fins de censure. Brève biographie de la conférencière Annie-Ève Collin a étudié en philosophie à l'Université de Montréal. Co-auteure du livre L'islamophobie, paru aux éditions Dialogue Nord-Sud, elle est une ardente défenseure de la liberté d'expression. Militante anti-théiste et féministe engagée, elle s'intéresse à divers sujets, notamment les fondements de l'éthique, l'épistémologie, la définition de la croyance, les religions et la laïcité, les différences et les rapports entre les sexes, la question de l'identité de genre, le multiculturalisme, le voile islamique, notre rapport avec les animaux non humains. The right to freedom of religion has to be paired with the right to freedom of expression and the principle of fairness for all, especially regarding the equality between men and women. Therefore, the freedom of religion does not include the possibility to shut down any critisizing, rejection or mocking by others regarding our own religion. To invoke islamophobia to prevent the freedom of expression of ideas would be misusing the concept for censorship purposes. Questions and discussions will follow the lecture. Brief summary on the lecturer: Annie-Ève Collin studied philosophy at University Of Montreal. Co-author of the Islamophobia book published by Les éditions Dialogues Nord-Sud, she is a fierce advocate for the right to free expression.
